![]() ![]() I won't fully explain this here (though if people ask I will do an edit when I wake up tomorrow) but this branch of philosophy that there is no "knowledge" (a true, justifiable, belief) outside what can be reasoned without experience which includes "Simple Math". I actually think this goes a lot deeper than one might expect in to Kant's definition of A priori and A posteriori knowledge. It also states that "truth cannot be fractioned". I think this is speaking white lies such as those parents tell there children such as dealing with a dogs death by saying it has gone to the farm (however I think the false truth this song is a lot more serious.) It cannot be "fashioned", implying that when it is dressed up (fashionable) it is no longer 'truth'. ![]() I think it's important to first analyse the representation of "truth" in this song. What if it was true, that all we thought was right, was wrong? What if I was wrong and you had never questioned it? What if we've been trying to kill the noise and silence? Simple math, believe me, all is brilliant What if we’ve been trying to get to where we’ve always been? What if I’ve been trying to get to where I’ve always been? What if you believed me? Everything is brilliant What if I was wrong, and started trying to fix it? What if we've been trying to get to where we’ve always been? What if you were crazy, would we have to listen then? Sinful math, the truth cannot be fashioned Simple math, it's why our bodies even lay here In actual blame, they call me once the dark divides To hush the violent guilt that eats and never dies I imply to mitigate the guilt, we could align Simple math, the truth cannot be fractioned What if it was true and all we thought was right was wrong? What if I was wrong and no one cared to mention Sinful math, the ebb and flow to multiply Simple math, it's how our bodies even got here I'm lost and hardly noticed, slight goodbye ![]()
